Thragazi Zagazal

When Ekrund fell, a number of dwarven families made their way to this place, where they were collected and carried to safety by passing ships. To this day it remains a physical reminder of what was lost in Ekrund, and of the survivor's sense of guilt for abandoning their hold and those who had fallen in its defense.

Needless to say, many of these dwarves who fled Ekrund could not bear to live with their shame. These dwarves joined the infamous Slayer cult and returned to this place, taking a short time to raise a shrine dedicated to Grimnir before disappearing into the Dragonback mountains. None ever returned.

To this day, Slayers will come to the Dragonbacks to die, and those that do nominally take a moment to visit the shrine here before making their final journey. This area has become known as Thragazi Zagazal, which can be loosely translated from Khazalid as "the pain of memories".
