Barak Gorm is the northernmost gate leading into Ekrund, and while it clearly lacks the embellishments of the hold's other gates, it is no less impressive.
Framed by the visage of a dwarven warrior, the gates itself are formed by heavy steel doors. The gate is some thirty feet in height and imitates the gates of the old holds in almost every way. While it was not the first gate of the hold, it is certainly one of the oldest. No doubt the founders of the hold chose to construct the gate in a manner that the population would find familiar- a reminder of home for the dwarves.
While the gate lacks embellishments, it is in no way lacking of defensive measures. Murder holes, galleries and towers provide numerous spaces for quarrelers and artillery to rain down death upon any approaching army. Unfortunately this proved too little to halt the tides of greenskins in Ekrund's final days, and many brave dwarves gave their lives in defense of this gate.
