Despite popular belief in the south, eating raw meat is only dangerous under certain circumstances. Those being that the meat is tainted, too much is consumed, or the eater has not been conditioned. While the norse dwarf should have known better about eating potentially chaos tainted meat, he did not feel the worse for wear. The slave tasted like any other rat.
As for Bjorn and Ubba, the two dawi stealthily crept deeper into the ancient runelord's temple.
At the center of this large stone chamber is a
deep pit filled with molten slag and sizzling
blood that casts a hellish red gleam on the
walls. Three narrow chutes open in the ceiling
directly above the pit. The air here is oppressively
hot and thick with ash. The blood appears fresh.
There is little in the room itself. And as nobody has the requisite knowledge skills, there is not much that can be gleaned about the purpose of the room. A search of the mosaics on the wall will show that the images of dwarves holding broken tools, several of whom are burning. Ubba does know enough about dungeoneering to know that the fires should have burnt out centuries ago without someone to tend to them. He also knows enough about the skaven to know that they tend not to light large fires such as this without purpose.
Bjorn though notices that to the north a headless human corpse in patchwork leather armor lies strewn in the middle of this section
of corridor. Three giant rats are in the process of eating the corpse, and are unlikely to give it up without a fight. A book remains in corpse's hands.
[ooc]As a note. I skipped what is in my mind a pointless combat in this room. For the sake of time I won't be throwing random monsters at you. I haven't placed you on this map, as these rats won't do anything until you get within 10ft of them (ie: 2 squares). So anyone can do a 20ft move to move up and attack them if wanted, or can shoot at them and see what happens. Or...of course, leave the corpse alone and go a different way. Also, if anyone has any advice, concerns or comments about this RP, feel free to bring it up.[/ooc]
