So, with the campaign over, it is time for some feedback! Let me know what you think about anything and everything- mechanics, fluff, the map, the story, figureheads, anything you can think of! Things you'd like to keep around for next time, things you'd like to get rid of, things that weren't in this campaign which you'd like to see next time...

Will do a more detailed post later, but one improvement would be an official list of what buildings we have and what special projects are active.

I really liked the various fluff events, like picking our patron god or trade deals with various holds. I would have enjoyed even more of them during the game.

In the same vein I would have liked more figure heads to deal with. Perhaps it's just out play style, but we really only had dealing with Magnir and occasionally Snorrison. Perhaps if some of the events gave factions a reason to contact some of the others, even if just briefly. We had a good communication with the prince in the beginning that ultimately convinced us to not go through Myrmidens and attack Monte Castello in turn 1 or 2. It changed oru whole strategy. I like stuff like that.

It might also be nice to introduce player size goals/victory points. I had a couple of things that I wanted Freyr to accomplish in order to be a ''victory' for him. He took Ongazi (Eventually), went exploring (Found a crown), did a fair bit of building, and fought orcs but not humans. All around a good time. Having some stuff based off your character that are sort of official goals could be fun, and make people have to do things that might not make the most strategic sense. Stuff like be the first to claim an area, find an artifact to send back to your hold, stuff like that. It's just an idea, the current playmode was tons of fun as is.

My favorite mechanic of the campaign was that you couldn't attack from enemy->enemy locations. It made defending territory a possibility due to usage of choke points. It also made it possible to 'trap' the greenskin faction. Without this mechanic I don't think that the dwarf faction could have won.

Fully agree with all of that. Actual, usable choke points made the whole strategy part of the game important.

A random thought. I'd like to be able to see the maps for each turn in campaigns like these. It lets you see how the shifting tides of war went. A nice thing to put in with the turn updates.
